The Charity Chain: A Necklace That Saves Lives

In 2017, GUZEMA partnered with the Ukrainian Your Support Foundation to create something that would become much more than a piece of jewelry. The Charity Chain was designed to help children born with heart defects receive life-saving surgeries at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery in Kyiv.

Each pendant is engraved with five words: Love, Believe, Share, Pray, Help. Not just a design detail, but a quiet reminder of what connects everyone who wears it.

Since its launch, the Charity Chain has raised over $250,000, funding 467 heart surgeries for children across Ukraine. Behind every number is a child who got to grow up.

The Inspirement Chain: A Symbol of Sisterhood

In 2019, GUZEMA introduced the Inspirement Chain, created in partnership with the I Can! project of the Olena Pinchuk Foundation. The necklace takes the form of two hands holding together — a symbol of support, hope, and shared strength.

Every purchase goes toward uplifting women-led projects, fostering a culture where women support women. Not just as a concept, but as something tangible, funded, and real. Because sometimes the most powerful thing a piece of jewelry can do is remind you that you are not standing alone.

Skyward Tree: A Book Born From Roots

GUZEMA’s charitable spirit doesn’t stop at jewelry. Skyward Tree is a beautifully illustrated collection of 12 Ukrainian fairytales, gathered from different regions of Ukraine. These stories bring together the wisdom of the adult world and the openness of childhood, where imagination, magic, and wonder still exist side by side.

The characters from these pages became the inspiration for the Once Upon a Time and Once Upon a Time Mini jewelry collections, blurring the line between storytelling and craft in the most natural way. And true to the spirit of everything GUZEMA creates, the book carries a purpose beyond its pages.

Every copy sold goes directly to the Guzema Foundation, making it more than a beautiful object for a bookshelf. It is a small act of giving, wrapped in the warmth of an old tale.

More Than a Brand, a Community

In December 2025, the GUZEMA pop-up in New York became a place for connection. The space turned into the setting for a special evening of fairytales, as actress Katheryn Winnick read Skyward Tree aloud to families and children gathered around her.

That evening, guests had a rare chance to meet GUZEMA’s founder and designer Valeriya Guzema herself, who flew in for the occasion, alongside the team bringing the brand to life in the US. Around jewelry, stories, and a shared love of giving, something took shape — a community. All proceeds from book sales went to the Guzema Foundation.

What Comes Next
